Police were called after a man was seen swinging from utility wires in Coventry. It happened in Radford yesterday evening (April 17).

Officers responded to Radford Road at around 7.30pm on Friday. Concerns had been raised for the welfare of a man near Maria Mini Market.

Footage seen by CoventryLive shows the man swinging from overhead cables and sitting above Maria Mini Market. He was subsequently safeguarded.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to Radford Road in Coventry at around 7.30pm yesterday (April 17). Concerns had been raised for the welfare of a man and he was subsequently safeguarded.”
