A new 'no waiting' ban has been unveiled for junctions at seven streets in Coventry. The plan has been revealed in a traffic order proposed for the city council.

It states that the council plans to introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions at the junctions of Clara Street, Dean Street, Gresham Street, Hamilton Road, Harley Street, Kingsway and Marlborough Road.

"The order is proposed for the purposes of improved vehicular access, specifically larger vehicles, and a more amenable and safer route for pedestrians accessing local amenities," the proposed order states.

But the proposal will not become official until public consultation is held. The plans can now be found on the council's website as well as at the council house in Earl Street.

Anyone who wants to object to the order should write to Mr R Parkes, Place Team, Legal Services, PO Box 7097, Council House, Coventry CV6 9SL, or via email to 'rob.parkes@coventry.gov.uk'.

"Any objection must state the grounds on which it is made and must be forwarded by no later than 12th February 2026.," the order states.

More details can be found on the traffic regulations order section on the council's website here
