Nuisance 'kids on bikes pulling wheelies' are the target of Coventry police sting. Sherbourne Police Team officers say they are trying to identify those causing issues on the Holyhead Road, the Alvis Retail Park and the green spaces within the area.

They say they have stepped up Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) patrols due to an increase in reports of this type of nuisance behaviour. "Please be vigilant if you are on foot in these locations as reports include kids riding around on pedal bikes pulling wheelies," the team said in an online community update.

"We are trying to identify them so we can conduct visits."

As well as the ASB patrols and appealing to the community for help, the team say that they are also focusing on vehicle seizures for no tax and no insurance. "As always, please report any suspicious vehicles that may turn up in your neighbourhood," the team said.

"If they are not a vehicle you recognise or it does not move for sometime it could be stolen."

The team's weekly round-up also explains there has also been a theft of a motorbike in the Dulverton Avenue as well as number plates being from vehicles in Donnington Road and Tarlington Road.

A male in a grey hoody was also reported to have got into a Land Rover on Lake View Road. "The male did not get away with the vehicle and made off in an orange vehicle," the team said.

They sometimes also zig-zag through the traffic at the junction of the Butts and Albany Road to the consternation of motorists!
