Police were called to Blackhorse Road in Longford
A man has reportedly suffered stab injuries following an altercation in Coventry. It happened on Blackhorse Road in Longford this evening (Thursday, October 3).
Two cars, an Audi and a Mercedes, were being driven near the railway junction around 5.50pm. Both cars pulled over on Blackhorse Road before the driver and passenger in the Mercedes got out, Warwickshire Police said.
It is believed there was a verbal dispute and the occupants of the Audi were assaulted. A witness to the incident called 999 as it is believed they may have suffered stab injuries.
However, the Audi was driven off immediately afterwards, Warwickshire Police said. Detectives have this evening appealed for witnesses and urged those with information to get in touch by calling 101.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “Were you in Longford earlier this evening (Thursday, October 3)? Officers investigating an incident are appealing for witnesses to share information or footage that can help.
“Two cars, a silver Audi and a red Mercedes, were being driven near the railway junction around 5.50pm. Both cars pulled over on Blackhorse Road before the driver and passenger in the red Mercedes are reported to have got out.
“A witness to the incident called 999 as it is believed they may have suffered stab injuries, however, the silver Audi was driven off immediately afterwards. Enquiries are continuing and we are keen to understand more about what happened.
