Funfair coming to Coventry before summer holidays end

Wilson's Amusements will be back in Coventry one last time this weekend



A funfair is set to open tomorrow (Friday, August 30) in Coventry for families to enjoy before the summer holidays end. Visitors can enjoy the attractions and rides until Sunday, September 1.

Wilson's Amusements will be set up at Radford Recreation Ground from August 30 with a range of family rides, delicious food and drink stalls, and unique funfair games. The funfair will be open from 5pm on Friday and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Wilson's Amusements of Redditch is a family-run funfair with a range of rides and attractions they say are suitable for the whole family. In previous years, they have run high-profile fairs such as Oxford Street and Birmingham Pride, as well as ones in Coventry such as the Pleasureland Theme Park Experience at CBS Arena and War Memorial Park.

Organisers say that the funfair is for three days only so visitors should join for some 'family fun' before the kids go back to school. On their Facebook page, they said: "Our weekly opening season is coming to an end as we get ready to prepare for our street fairs. So come and see while you still have a chance.

"We have a selection of children and family rides, games, and the famous fairground hot fresh donuts and sweet treats. The weather is looking good at the minute so see you all Friday."

The funfair will be open from August 30 to September 1 and will be a 'strictly no alcohol' premises. The address for the funfair is Swillington Rd, Coventry CV6 3BN.
