Officers from the Henley and Longford SNT were called to Hinckley RoadA Mercedes-Benz driver had to be rescued after attempting to 'dodge traffic' in Coventry. Police were called to Hinckley Road in Walsgrave yesterday morning (Wednesday, April 10).
It is believed the unnamed driver attempted to 'avoid traffic' by turning around and crossing a grassed central reservation on Hinckley Road. It was at this point that they were said to have gotten 'stuck.'
A van driver stepped in to help and pulled the vehicle off the grassed area with a tow rope, said Henley and Longford Police. Officers said the Mercedes-Benz driver was able to carry on with their journey, adding that the mistake was a 'lesson learnt.'
Henley and Longford Police said on X: “You cannot park there mate! A lesson learnt for one driver today.
"Do not attempt to drive across the central reservation on Hinckley Road.”
