It joins the likes of Manchester, Edinburgh and London
We've always known it but Coventry is now officially one of the UK's prettiest cities. The city came in the top ten of the country's most aesthetically pleasing places to live.
That is according to research by Alan Boswell Landlord Insurance, which used Pinterest to find the best places each city had to offer and compare how many times every city had been 'pinned' to give each one an aesthetic score out of ten. Coventry came tenth in the top ten for the whole country.
Cov was just below Hull, which was ranked ninth at 6.82 out of ten. Top of the list was London with 9.63 out of ten but nearby Birmingham was not far behind. It scored 8.52 out of ten, being narrowly beaten to the second spot by Bristol.
The top ten sees Coventry also sees lining up alongside Sheffield, Edinburgh, Manchester, Glasgow and Plymouth. We are known for rising from the ashes, and with regeneration work underway in the city who knows - the ranking next year could be even higher.
To compile the top ten, researchers analysed the number of pins with the tag ‘[city]+homes’ and combined it with the number of boards to get an aesthetic score out of 10. Coventry scored 6.63 out of ten.
