Have your say on the Local Government Boundary Review for Coventry

A new pattern of wards is being developed for Coventry Council and you can help shape the proposals.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE), who are running the review, has decided that the number of councillors in Coventry should be 54.

However, the Commission needs to hear from local residents to make sure that their plans reflect the local area. So, they've been running a consultation, which ends on the 31 July, to do just that.

The Commission is interested in things like what facilities do people share, such as parks, leisure centres or schools and shopping areas? What issues do neighbouring communities face that they have in common, such as high numbers of visitors or heavy traffic? Have there been new housing or commercial developments that have changed the focus of communities?

The Commission will use local views to help it draw up proposals for new ward boundaries. After those proposals have been drawn up there will be a further round of consultation.

The Commission has a dedicated section on its website where people can give their views:

People can also give their views by e-mail at reviews@lgbce.org.uk, and by post:
