Motorists are being warned of potential delays with six roadworks set to hit main routes in or near Coventry city centre this month. Coventry City Council's roadworks map shows there will be new traffic control measures along Foleshill Road roundabout this month.

The roadworks will begin on Saturday, July 23, and will see a new plant growth regulator (PGR) installed outside Eden Girls School to replace a damaged one. Roadworks will start from 8am and end at 4pm.

Drivers can expect delays when travelling along this route. Another major road will be closed this weekend as part of traffic control measures. Works will start on Saturday, July 23, and will see two-way traffic lights on Quinton Road.

These roadworks will last for a day, ending on July 24, and form part of traffic control improvements. Coventry City Council has also announced plans to close Cox Street for carriageway resurfacing this week.

The road will be shut on Sunday, July 24, from 8am to 6pm. Drivers can expect delays and are advised to take other routes.

There will also be roadworks taking place along Lower Ford Street. The road will be closed from July 28 until August 8 for upgrades taking place at the Lower Ford Street Car Park.

There have been several road closures now already in place around the city centre. Eaton Road has been closed since Monday, July 11, for building works to began on a new hotel. The road is set to be closed until October 4 2023.

The Ringway St Nicholas slip from Radford Road has been closed since Monday, July 18. Coventry City Council has shut down the road for a cycle lane installation. The road is expected to be closed until August 30 this year.
