Man injured in second Coventry stabbing today...

The incident in Wyken follows a similar one in Tile Hill this morning

A man was been taken to hospital after a second stabbing in Coventry today (Wednesday).

Paramedics were called to the injured man's aid in Sewall Highway, Wyken, at around 2.20pm this afternoon. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

CoventryLive understands the incident took place near to Sewall service station by the junction with Torcross Avenue.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We are investigating after we were called to a petrol station on Sewall Highway, Coventry at 2.20pm today (10 March) following a report a man had suffered stab wound injuries.

"The man, in his 20s, has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.

"Our investigations are ongoing to establish exactly what happened and how the man came to suffer his injuries. It is not clear at this point exactly where the incident took place, but we believe he walked to the petrol station where we were called.
