Former Labour MP Bill Olner has died
The 78-year-old represented Nuneaton from 1992 to 2010 and was also a former leader of Nuneaton District Council.
Before his election as MP he was an engineer for Rolls Royce and a supporter of trade unions.
Mike O'Brien, who represented the neighbouring constituency of North Warwickshire during the same period, paid tribute saying he was a "good decent man."
"Nuneaton has lost a champion for the town," he added.

I always thought he was alright.
R.I.P.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
