The postmaster has retired - and they're searching for a new one
Post Office bosses have confirmed a branch in Nuneaton will be closing.
The Tomkinson Road Post Office will shut its doors at the end of this month on July 31.
Bosses say it is a temporary closure - but if no-one steps in to open a new branch the service could be lost forever.
The reason the Tomkinson Road branch is closing is because the postmaster has resigned, and the building has been withdrawn from Post Office control.
A spokesman for the Post Office said: "We can confirm that Tomkinson Road Post Office is due to close temporarily on Wednesday 31 July at 6pm following the resignation of the Postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises, that we do not own, for Post Office use.
“We understand how important a Post Office is to a community and we would like to reassure customers that we are working hard to restore a Post Office in that area.
"Alternative branches in the area include Queens Road and Stockingford."
The Post Office is now trying to recruit a new postmaster and new premises to serve the community from.
