Teenagers arrested after police car rammed in chase

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested after an incident in Stoke Aldermoor

A police car was rammed as it tried to stop a suspected stolen car in Coventry.

Officers on patrol tried to stop the suspected stolen Seat Leon on Sunbeam Way in Stoke Aldermoor last night.

Police are now appealing for one key witness to come forward after one teenager fled the scene and got into a waiting Audi.

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested at the scene.

The other two teenagers tried to also get away, but were caught.

They were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

One of them was also arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and robbery.

The incident happened shortly after 7pm on Monday night.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We believe a witness saw the third teenager leaving the Seat Leon and getting into an Silver Audi A1 that was waiting for them. We are urgently appealing for this member of the public to contact us, as they could hold a vital piece of information."
