Officers pursued the car around Nuneaton before 'tactically' stopping it



A police chase took place through the streets of Nuneaton after a driver allegedly failed to stop for a drink and drug check.

Warwickshire Police Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) has reported that officers ‘pursued’ a car around Nuneaton in the early hours of Monday, December 17.

The chase eventually came to an end in Haunchwood Road.

“The Peugeot was pursued around Nuneaton until it was boxed by tactical units on Haunchwood Road,” said a post by the OPU.

A man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

He was taken into custody at Nuneaton and was later charged with dangerous driving, no insurance, no licence and possession of cannabis.

The Peugeot car was also seized.
