Vivienne Westwood has designed a new bag - and it gives a nod to our city.

The "Coventry" handbag is currently selling on the designer's website.

Defined by its quilted thunderbolt design, seeped in a floral print the Medium Coventry Handbag features Westwood’s signature thunderbolt shoulder rest.

The product description adds: "Perfected with silver-hued hardware inspired by toilet chains, reused by punks in the 70's as accessories, finished with the iconic Orb metal keyring gadget."

It is made with 70 per cent polyester, 22 per cent cotton and 8 per cent spandex.

Unfortunately, the velvet number will set you back a fair whack.

Fashion fans will no doubt love it - but you'll probably find yourself saving for a while.

The RRP of the bag is an eye-popping £425.
