The Treasury is assuming growth in the private sector will create 2.5 million jobs in the next five years to compensate for the spending squeeze.
Let us assume for the sake of argument, that is true? The jobs won't go to people who are currently unemployed in this country but to emigres from eastern europe and Africa just like they did before.

Also the cuts announced so far won't save anything like the amounts being predicted due to the overlap in responsibilities between one government dept and another. If you cut the bill for one dept you simply drive up the costs for another dept.
