Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene
Police were called to a petrol station in Coventry after a woman was threatening to damage a fuel pump.
The drama unfolded at the Esso garage in Butts Road, opposite the Butts Park Arena, shortly at around 9.45am.
The petrol station was closed while the emergency services - that included three police cars, a number of officers and an ambulance crew - dealt with the incident.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Police were called to the Esso petrol station on Butts Road in Coventry just after 9.30am this morning to a report of a woman threatening to damage a fuel pump.
"The 21-year-old was taken to hospital by the ambulance service where she will be assessed."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman told CoventryLive they were called to the incident at 9.43am and sent one ambulance to the scene.
The Esso garage re-opened to customers at around 10.10am.
Was until recently a BP petrol station and cheaper. Not sure why it was changed?
