There have been several incidents in the city

Women across Coventry are being warned by police to be careful after several sex attacks took place when a man posed as a bogus charity worker.

One of the victims answered the door to the man carrying a clipboard, who claimed to be raising money for charity.

He then followed her into her home and inappropriately touching her.

However it isn't the only attack on women.

It happened twice on the same day in different areas, and a third time today (July 22).

It happened in the Earlsdon area of Coventry at around 12.40pm on 20 July and is one of three similar assaults in the city this month.

The man is described as a large Asian man, between 20 and 30, 5ft 10ins, with a red face, a thick, dark beard and thick, wavy short hair.

He wore a white T-shirt and black trousers.

At around 1pm on the same day (July 22), there was a second incident in the Eastern Green area , where a woman was touched inappropriately by a man at her door who claimed to be collecting for charity.

Today (July 22), a man with a similar description called at a door asking for money Holloway Field, Radford.

He left without incident.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who has been approached by suspected bogus callers, or anyone with CCTV which may help, to get in touch.
