Nuneaton Town FC up for sale as chairman quitsA new era awaits Nuneaton Town Football Club as the club and ground have been put on the market again after its chairman sensationally stood down.
Lee Thorn announced on Saturday night that he was stepping down from the helm of the club after more than three years.
In doing so, he revealed that he would also be selling the club and the ground.
In what was a hat-trick of announcements, it has been announced that the club will be reverting back to its former name, Nuneaton Borough, as of next season.
This was an ambition that the club and Nuneaton Town Supporters Club (NTSC) set out to do in November last year.
It is the second time that the club and ground has been put on the market.
Last time, there was some interest from Chinese buyers but a sale did not come to fruition.
But Nuneaton Town Supporters Club (NTSC) could now step in and try and play a part in the club’s future.
In a statement NTSC say that they have already had ‘positive’ responses to plans to make the club part-owned by the community but need to make them ‘concrete’.
