Emergency services could do nothing to save him during the incident on Sunday night
A man has been confirmed dead after being found in the middle of the A45 Sunday night.
The male was found on the westbound carriageway around 7.30pm, but when emergency services got to the scene, there was nothing that could be done to save him.
He was confirmed dead at the scene and the age of the man remains unknonw.
Emergency services were called to the stretch of the dual carriageway between Pickford Green and Meriden.
One ambulance and one paramedic officer attended, but nothing could be done to save the man.
Warwickshire Police are treated the death as unexplained.
They are appealing for witnesses to come forward if they saw a pedestrian in the area.
A spokesman for Warwickshire police said: "Officers were called at 7.12pm on Sunday, 11 March, to the A45 in Meriden, Coventry.
"A body was found on the road and the person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and police are appealing for anyone who saw a pedestrian in the area to come forward."
Anyone who has any information which could help police is asked to call 101 quoting incident 328 of 11 March.
