The offenders used an industrial-sized sandbag to remove the items
A gang of six broke into a Coventry supermarket and plundered the cigarette kiosk.
CCTV shows the group forcing their way into Asda, in Daventry Road, Cheylesmore, in the early hours of Saturday.
Police were called to the scene after the store's alarm went off at 4.45am, but the offenders had already left the scene by the time they arrived.
A forensics team will now try to collect evidence from the scene.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "It looks as though six offenders have gone in and forced entry to the cigarette kiosk and stolen a significant quantity of cigarettes.
"They used an industrial-sized sandbag to remove the items."
