Two men in court over 1993 Coventry murder

Two men have appeared in court charged with murdering a Coventry man more than 16 years ago.

Glenn Ford, 35, was found in a factory in Saltley, Birmingham, in November 1993. He had been shot several times.

Gurmit Singh Birring, 52, of Islay Grove, Hartlepool, and Martin Singh Mattu, 41, of Tyber Drive, Birmingham, appeared before Birmingham Crown Court.

The investigation into the father-of-two's death was re-opened by West Midlands Police last October.

The pair were remanded in custody.
