Bedworth man stripped of clothes as thugs beat him up and steal his phone

A robbery victim was stripped of his clothes and had his phone stolen in Bedworth.

The incident is believed to have taken place on Friday at around 11.50am near to a small lake in Smorrall Lane.

It was reported that a man was assaulted by two men who left him unconscious.

Police said the man’s clothes had been removed and stolen along with his mobile phone.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his eye and ribs.

The offenders were believed to have been driving a silver Volkswagen Polo and an unknown silver vehicle, one of which was used to leave the scene by one of the men.

The suspects are described as:

A white male in his mid-20s, approximately 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins, with a slim to athletic build. He had short dark hair and was clean shaven, wearing a short sleeved t-shirt and light blue denim jeans.

A man in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5ft 10ins with a dark complex and dark hair. He had a slim to athletic build and was wearing sunglasses with dark jeans.

Any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may have seen the two offenders around the area at the time, are urged to get in touch with police on 101, quoting incident number 153 of 26 May.
