Police were called to deal with hordes of schoolkids running riot at a McDonalds.

According to witnesses, around 30 to 40 BMX bikers congregated at the fast food restaurant in Holyhead Road, Coundon, at around 4pm on Tuesday.

The group, aged between 12 and 15 years old, are said to have intimidated customers and refused to leave the restaurant after being confronted by staff.

One witness, who wished to remain anonymous, stopped at the busy fast food restaurant with a disabled relative on the way back from a hospital appointment.

He told the Telegraph that it was impossible to get the wheelchair through the bikes at the entrance.

The witness said: “There was a group of around 30 to 40 kids between 12 and 15 years of age.
“Their bikes were blocking the entrance and they were refusing to go when asked to leave. One lad was even riding his bike through the restaurant.

“I had to move bikes to get a wheelchair in.”

He added that customers were visibly distressed by the group, saying: “It was distressing to customers.

“A number of customers and women with small children were complaining to staff.”

West Midlands Police eventually arrived after being contacted by the manager.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called at around 4.15pm to reports of kids on bikes at the entrance of the restaurant. It was a big group.

“When officers arrived they had dispersed around the area.”

The Telegraph has contacted McDonalds for comment.

There were a few hanging around there this evening too, I wondered what it was all about?

I was once sat in a pub and a rather large group of youths were congregating outside. It didn't bother me, but a few in the pub started to get a bit bothered. The pub landlord called the police and a few officers turned up, along with a couple of dogs. Whist the dogs were on leads, once they were out of the vans the youths rapidly dispersed. The pub concerned is now closed, but after that one show of authority I saw no more youths hanging around.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

The bikers were back at McDonalds this afternoon playing a game of "chase me" with the police.
I was almost knocked down by a speeding police car in the car park. :tinfoilhat:
