Man injured after alleged attack in Bedworth dies in hospital



A man who was taken to hospital after an alleged attack in Bedworth has now died.

The 53-year-old was taken to hospital after an incident at a house in Bulkington Road, close to North Avenue, at around 11.40pm on Saturday.

He was said to be in a critically ill condition at Coventry’s University Hospital and Warwickshire Police have now stated that he has passed away.

Police had arrested a 55-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and he remains in police custody tonight.

Paramedics were also called to the scene on Saturday night.
