A pilot in his 60s was injured when a glider clipped a hedge in Warwickshire.
The ambulance service said the glider was apparently losing altitude and it appears the man tried to land in a field near Barton Road, Long Compton.
The man, who had back pain, was flown by the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The glider's tail and one of its wings had come off. The front was also damaged.
