These distinctive items of jewellery were recovered by police during a raid in Coventry.

Officers want to trace the owner of the items which were found after a search warrant was executed at an address in the Spon End area of the city.

The jewellery includes: a three-stranded set of pearl necklaces in a red Elizabeth Arden Box, four broaches of various styles, a pendant, two gold chains, and a distinctive old ladies watch with an engraving on the back ‘From Bob Dec 1926’.

All of the items were found inside a small grey box labelled ‘A Ballard Ltd, 45 Queen Street, Oxford’.

A spokesman for Coventry Police’s Magpie Team, which works which shops in the city to recover stolen and lost items, said: “We suspect the jewellery has all been stolen during recent house burglaries.

“It looks like it either belongs to an elderly lady or has been passed down from a relative who has since dies, due to the style and description.”

Officers also arrested an 18-year-old male during the raid in Spon End for drug offences who is currently on police bail.

Anyone who recognises the jewellery or has any information is asked to call PC James Rees on 101, ext 834 3006.

The last little piece with what looks like peridot green stones is very simular to a peace of jewelry that would be owned by a suffragette like this
