West Midlands Police are reminding drivers of the serious consequences of not stopping

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was victim of a hit-and-run in Radford.

The 13-year-old was playing with friends in the street in Jubilee Crescent, near to Links Road, on Wednesday, August 21, at around 6.15pm.

She was struck by a red car, which is believed to be a Mercedes.

The teenager suffered only minor injuries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who may have more information to help us trace the vehicle involved.

“Thankfully the injuries were only minor, but failing to stop at the scene of a collision can carry serious penalties.

“We’re appealing directly to the driver to do the right thing and come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
