Teenage pedestrian suffers serious head injuries in Stoke collision

Fifteen-year-old girl was struck by a car in Swan Lane, Stoke

A teenage girl suffered serious head injuries when she was hit by a car in Coventry.

The 15-year-old pedestrian was said by police to be in a stable condition following the collision in Swan Lane, Stoke.

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw what happened at about on Friday evening.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: “The girl, a pedestrian aged 15 from the area, was struck by a car on Swan Lane, Stoke at about 9.20pm.

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with the investigation.

“Officers from the Family Liaison Unit are supporting the young girl’s family.”
