A number of visitors to Coventry’s Godiva Festival were angered after coming across a 9/11 conspiracy theorist at the popular music event.

The man behind the display at the War Memorial Park arrived with models of New York’s Twin Towers and leaflets of information for passers-by to read.

Some who came across the display inside one of the festival’s tents took to social media to vent their anger.

Lee House, organiser of the Godiva Festival, said: “The group in question booked a stall at Godiva with the outlined aim of promoting debate and discussion around issues.

"We understand that the way that this was presented may have upset or offended some people.

"We want Godiva to be a welcoming and inclusive family environment for all, and we’re continually looking and evaluating how we can do this year on year.”
