A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer
Two police officers were attacked with a screwdriver and a Stanley knife after being called to an incident in Keresley, the Telegraph understands.
One of the West Midlands Police officers suffered a hand injury after attending an address in The Scotchill at around 5.30pm on Thursday.
They had been called to a domestic incident before being attacked.
A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with a domestic incident and on suspicion of a Section 18 assault against an officer.
He is currently in police custody.
The incident comes just days after a female officer was attacked with an axe in Sheffield.
