Royal Mail has added nearly a dozen new outlets to its Local Collection service within the CV postcode.

Amazon is the first major retailer to make use of the extended network and from today, Amazon shoppers can choose whether to collect online purchases from their Post Office or Royal Mail delivery office.

The Coventry South Enquiry office and Coventry City North Delivery Office have joined the network.

Tony Fox, Royal Mail operations director, said: “The extension of the Local Collect network is great news for shoppers in the CV postcode area, giving them more choice about when and where they collect their online purchases.

“The success of Local Collect with the Post Office has shown that customers value accessible, local options to collect their shopping. We are pleased to be welcoming our Local Collect service to Royal Mail delivery offices in our area.”

Delivery offices in Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, Leamington, Warwick, Stratford, Southam, Kenilworth and Atherstone have also joined the service.
