The soft drink giant revealed today the total of people who visited the truck while it was parked up outside Asda, in Brade Drive, Walsgrave, from 12-8pm.

It was the famous Christmas truck’s 32nd stop on a UK tour running between November 28 and December 23.

Visitors to the attraction were given the chance to have photographs taken with the truck, as well as enjoying performances by a choir singing Christmas hits and free samples of the beverage.

A Coca-Cola spokesman said: “It was wonderful to spread festive cheer to the people of Coventry.

“We were delighted by the huge crowds of people having their photos taken with the iconic truck, enjoying the winter wonderland setting and singing along with the Christmas choir.

“We hope the local community enjoyed the stop just as much as we did.”

The Coca-Cola truck was created in 1995 as part of the soft drink giant’s Christmas advertising campaign and is now featured on TV schedules in over 100 countries.
