Masked men carry out armed robbery at Bulkington Co-op

Masked men held up Bulkington’s Co-op store this morning.

Two robbers burst into the supermarket at 7:35am carrying weapons and threatened staff.

A large quantity of cash was stolen as well as cigarettes.

The offenders left the scene in a silver hatchback car which had been parked opposite the shop and drove off in the direction of The New Inn pub, in Rugby Road .

Members of the public were thought to be near the shop at the time of the incident and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything that could assist their enquiries to come forward by calling Detective Sergeant Bob Jamieson or Investigating Officer Adrian Clark on 02476 641111, quoting incident number 40 of 16th December.
