Five teenagers and two adults have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a 75-year-old man collapsed and died.
The victim, who has not bee named, was found near his home in Pickard Street, Warwick, at 20:50 BST on Tuesday and died in hospital.
Police said they believed there was an incident between the man and a group of people before he collapsed.
The seven people arrested are being held in police custody for questioning.
Ch Insp Michael Naughton said officers were still working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
A 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested, along with two teenage males, aged 17, a girl aged 16 and two 15-year-olds, one male and one female.
Police said all were from the local area.
