Rain stops play for Bedworth’s ‘Party in the Park’

HEAVY-HEARTED organisers of a planned party in a park say they have been forced to cancel the event.

The annual event was due to take place on Monday at the Miners Welfare Park in Bedworth.

They say that the predicted weather forecast, which shows heavy and persistent rain, means that they cannot risk anyone injuring themselves, and therefore they have taken the decision to cancel it now.

Bedworth-based charity People in Action hosts the event and a spokesperson said: “Apologies to all who were hoping to attended and all those who were going to take part.”
