Allesley Park mugger snatches bag from OAP

Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a mugger who targeted a pensioner in Allesley Park.

The pensioner was walking in Amersham Close between 11.20-11.30am on Friday when a young man, wearing a dark hooded top and bottoms, grabbed her bag.

The youngster then ran off towards Winsford Avenue.

The 82-year-old, who was not hurt in the incident, walked home and called the police. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the mugging to call 101.
