It's just a continuation of the long running trend of moving the general burden of taxes away from giant corporations and onto poor individuals. And if you think this is marxist thinking you might be surprised to learn that many middle income Americans feels exactly the same way including best-selling financial authors such as Robert Kiyosaki :!:

Even when you're retired you're taxed - they can't tax your state pension, but any additional income - no matter how small - is taxed.

There can't be much left to put a tax on :shock:

Interesting graph Rebbonk - I wonder why Coventry's council tax is higher than the average - for not a particularly good service from what I can gather
