More flood warnings in south Warwickshire

Postby dutchman » Fri Dec 21, 2012 11:39 am

FLOOD warnings have been issued in south Warwickshire rivers over fears of heavy rain during the weekend.

Motorists are also facing delays this morning following the closure of Castle Road, in Kenilworth, in both directions between the junction of Castle Hill and Brookside Avenue.

There is a flood warning for River Leam including Mill Gardens, Royal Pump Rooms Gardens, Dormer Place and parts of Adelaide Road, in Leamington, along with areas in Eathorpe, Huningham and Offchurch.

Another warning has been issued for River Anker affecting Royal Meadow Drive, Ratcliffe Road and Aldermill Business Park, in Atherstone.

The river levels are expected to fall later this afternoon but could rise again as further rain is expected over the next few days.

The Sherbourne was a raging torrent last night, as also I expect was the Sowe?

According to the missus, yesterday afternoon the Sowe was rising rapidly and running very fast.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
