Alun Thorne has been appointed editor of the Coventry Telegraph.He joins after three years editing the Telegraph’s sister paper, the Birmingham Post.
Alun, aged 37, said: “I’m extremely excited to have been given the opportunity to edit a newspaper with such a rich history and strong reputation as the Coventry Telegraph.
“I am looking forward to a fresh challenge and getting to work with a great team in Coventry as we build on the strong foundations that exist for the long-term success of this great newspaper.”
Neil Benson, Trinity Mirror’s editorial director regionals, said: “Alun has very clear ideas for developing the Telegraph brand across all publishing platforms, and will find a very talented team in Coventry who will play an essential role in delivering his plans.”
