Princess Beatrice to run London marathon

Princess Beatrice is reportedly training to become the first Royal to run a marathon.

The 21-year-old will be followed by her police bodyguard as she takes on the 26.2 mile race in April.

The Daily Mail reports that Beatrice will be running as part of Sam and Holly Branson's Team Snake.

A friend of the princess said that running as part of a team of 40 should help her reach the end. "She has no target time - she just wants to finish the course," the friend said.

Beatrice will be running to raise cash for Children In Crisis, a charity founded by her mother The Duchess Of York.
