Sainsbury's has renamed its Tiger Bread "Giraffe Bread" following a letter from a toddler.
The supermarket said that the correspondence last May from 3-and-a-half-year-old Lily Robinson, which went viral online, had inspired the change which was rolled out from stores today.
The letter read: "Why is tiger bread called tiger bread? It should be called giraffe bread."
Then-customer service team member Chris King said: "Renaming tiger bread giraffe bread is a brilliant idea.
"It looks much more like the blotches on a giraffe than the stripes on a tiger, doesn't it?"
Robinson was also given a £3 Sainsbury's gift card.
"In response to overwhelming customer feedback that our Tiger Bread has more resemblance to a giraffe, from today we will be changing our Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread and seeing how that goes," the company confirmed.
"We think that renaming Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread is a great idea and want to thank Lily for helping us see the spots for what they are."
