Would-Be MP Charged After Sky Investigation

A former Lib Dem candidate for Parliament has been charged with fraud following a Sky News investigation.



Dr Vincent McKee will appear before Coventry Magistrates on Thursday facing 33 counts of fraud dating back to October 2009.

Dr McKee was the director of a national tutorial agency.

He was also a parliamentary candidate for the Liberal Democrats in three elections.

Some of the charges date back to when he was running his campaign for a seat in the House of Commons.

Earlier this year Sky News carried out an investigation into Dr McKee’s business activities and this led to a Trading Standards investigation.

As well as fraud, Dr McKee is also charged with unfair trading and perverting the course of justice.
