Coventry Bees beat Elite League leaders Poole Pirates 49-42 in an eventful meeting at Brandon on Monday.
Coventry boss Rossiter refused to blame the track for Poole's injuriesPirates finished with just four fit riders as Jason Doyle, Kyle Newman and Darcy Ward all succumbed to injury.
Emil Sayfutdinov top-scored for Bees with 11 points but he was outscored by Poole riders Chris Holder (15) and Davey Watt (12).
Coventry are sixth in the table and have a number of meetings in hand over the teams above them.
Bees manager Alun Rossiter refused to blame the track for the injuries picked up by the visitors in heats three, four and nine, but admitted he had some sympathy for them.
Rossiter told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I felt a little bit for Poole.
"I've been in that situation so I know what it's like and it's not nice. But you take your luck.
"I spoke to the meeting co-ordinator and the track was fine.
"If you ask the Poole riders, [they'd say] it's just one of those things."
Bees are next in action against Birmingham Brummies at Brandon on Friday (29 July).
