Coventry's Rowena Cole wins 800m silver at juniors

Coventry Godiva's Rowena Cole claimed a silver medal in the 800m at the European Athletics Junior Championships in Estonia.



The 19-year-old made a late charge to finish behind the Ukrainian Anastasiya Tkachuk in a new personal best.

Cole completed Saturday's race in two minutes, 3.43 seconds.

The Godiva athlete finished less than two-tenths of a second ahead of third-placed Ayvika Malanova in Tallinn whom she overtook on the final straight.
