The driver had fallen clear of the cab as the farm machine and its trailer demolished a garden wall and brought down the porch of the house in Coventry Road, Exhall.

It finally came to rest lodged in the living room.

Incredibly, no-one was injured as the family were out of the property when the drama unfolded on Monday.

Neighbours said they ran out when they heard a huge bang at about 4.10pm.

The tractor had been pulling a trailer at the time which was carrying another piece of machinery.

It is thought the driver of the tractor, a man, had fallen out of the vehicle’s cab.

The tractor then continued along the road, eventually hitting a silver Rover parked on the road and then the house.

The circumstances of how the driver had fallen out of the cab are still unexplained.

Last night the front of the property was boarded up and the owners were said to be very shocked and shaken by the accident.

Police closed a section of Coventry Road, near Colliery Lane for an hour as they removed the damaged vehicles and cleared the road of debris.

A resident, who did not want to be named, had her garden wall destroyed by the tractor and trailer.

The driver of the tractor was taken to hospital for treatment. Yesterday the seriousness of his injuries were not known.

Last night Warwickshire Police were investigating the incident.
