Nuneaton Town will allow midfielder Kyle Storer to leave - but only at the right price, says boss Kevin Wilkin.

Storer wants to leave despite being under contract for next season.

Wilkin told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "Kyle's made his intentions clear that he wants to leave the club and find full-time football.

"As a club we wouldn't stand in his way. But we only see it's right that we are recompensed for the time and effort that we've put into Kyle."

Speaking at a fans' forum on Wednesday, the Boro boss added: " A guy that scores 16 goals in the Blue Square North from midfield you would feel is a commodity.

"If we get the right sort of offer that comes along, of which there is an offer on the table that is very close to where we see as being acceptable, potentially that deal can move forward."

Wilkin has been busy in the transfer market in the close season, having already drafted in striker Danny Glover from rivals Worcester City. But he is still keen to add more firepower to his squad.

"I will be looking to make additions across the front line," continued Wilkin.

"I know there are lads there that are versatile within the squad that we've already got that could play in that area and have done pretty well.

"Obviously at this stage people wait and wait and very often it can be left up until the final few days of the pre-season before you get these things bottomed out.

"As is with players they'll always go and seek what they see as the best deal and they'll sit on the fence for quite some period."
