The norovirus outbreak at Warwick Hospital looks like it may be coming under control.

Just two wards – Hatton and Victoria – are affected three weeks after the outbreak began.

In all, half a dozen have been forced to bring in restrictions over the last few weeks as patients tested positive for the sickness and diarrhoea bug.

If you want to go and see patients on Victoria or Hatton it is limited to two people per patient and can only be between 2:30 and 3:30pm and then from 6 until 7pm.

The hospital’s also asking anyone with sickness and diarrhoea to stay away from any ward until they have been free of symptoms for at least 48 hours.

They’re also reminding people to contact their GP and not go to the A&E unit unless it’s an emergency.

The visiting restrictions are continually being reviewed and the very latest situation will be posted on their website here.
