Nuneaton Town missed the chance to go nine points clear at the top of the Blue Square Bet North after Monday's 1-1 draw 1-1 at Hyde United.
Boro manager Kevin Wilkin replaced injured skipper Mark Noon with Eddie Nisevic as the one change to his team.
Former sky Blues midfielder Adam Walker gave the visitors the lead shortly before the half-hour mark.
But a goal early in the second half from Chris Lynch earned the strugglers a share of the spoils.
Noon is expected to be out of action for a month after damaging his medial ligament in Saturday's victory over Stafford Rangers.
