Police in Rugby are warning owners of motorbikes and mopeds to remain vigilant following an increase of thefts in the area.
On two days last week, three bikes were stolen from driveways in the town – two of which were secured by disc locks.
Rugby Inspector Paul Judson said: “Motorbikes and mopeds are popular targets for thieves as they can be sold easily or broken up for parts, which are harder to trace.
"In addition to this, we believe low-powered motorbikes are also being stolen to be used as off-road vehicles. These are often discovered discarded nearby.”
